The Honey Harvest event offers a rare glimpse into the fascinating process of honey production. Attendees will have the extraordinary opportunity to sample fresh honey straight from the hive – a true farm-to-table experience that showcases nature’s liquid reward in its purest form. The highlight for many guests is the chance to try their hand at operating the honey extractor, the centrifugal device that separates honey from the honeycomb without damaging the delicate wax structure. This hands-on experience connects participants to an ancient food tradition that has sustained communities for thousands of years.

Throughout the evening, our community’s resident beekeepers, David and Kim, will share their wealth of knowledge about honeybees and their intriguing social structures. These local experts will explain how bees communicate, work together, and contribute to our ecosystem through pollination. With colony collapse disorder and other threats to bee populations making headlines, this event offers valuable insights into the importance of these industrious insects. Questions are encouraged, making this an interactive learning experience suitable for curious minds of all ages. You’ll leave with a deeper appreciation for these remarkable creatures and the sweet rewards of their labor.
